We Care
Warm, happy, caring – three little words but they mean so much. At Bramley House we create a relaxed, informal setting for our residents who wish to retain their independence, yet require exceptional standards of care and attention.
Our highly trained staff provides round the clock care and each room has a 24 hour emergency call system. Through our programme of continuous training and qualifications all staff members have strong knowledge of industry led requirements and recommendations.
Whilst qualifications are crucial, so is the right fit. We pride ourselves on choosing staff who are passionate about care, genuinely enjoy their role with us and enjoy spending time with our residents. Enhanced DBS checks are carried out before a new member joins our team, but staff turnover is low, which means our residents really get to know each person involved in their care. Together, staff and residents are all part of our Bramley ‘family’.
We really care about each other.
Residential
Care
Our aim is for our residents who are no longer able to stay in their own home to enjoy all the home comforts that Bramley House offers. A personalised care plan reflecting individual requirements and preferences is put together after Kelly, our manager, carries out an initial assessment. Regular reviews take place during the time each resident lives at Bramley House and any changing needs are discussed with the resident and their family.
Respite
Care
The same high levels of care, but on a short-term basis, usually for a week or two. Typically, clients come for respite care if the family member who looks after them is going on holiday, or if they need to recoup after a hospital stay. Some clients visiting us for respite decide they would like to stay for the longer term, others are welcomed back from time-to-time as needed.
Day
Care
As part of our Monday – Friday day care service, clients are welcome to spend the day at Bramley House, usually if a family member needs to attend an appointment or is at work. Day care clients are assured of friendly company, a delicious lunch and are welcome to join in scheduled activities or just spend time relaxing in our comfortable lounge, conservatory or garden.
Accommodation
With its tree-lined driveway, attractive facade, well-appointed rooms and beautiful gardens, Bramley House is reminiscent of a small country hotel.
All residents have the comfort and privacy of a well-appointed bedroom which has a vanity unit, central heating and a television, and most have en-suite facilities too. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and accessories to decorate their rooms and pets are also very welcome.
Bramley House is a member of the Cinnamon Trust, an organisation which respects and preserves the treasured relationship between owners and their pets. From time-to-time we also welcome four-legged visitors and their companions from Pets As Therapy too.
Delicious home-cooked meals are enjoyed in our elegant dining room (although residents can dine in their rooms if they prefer). Our comfortable lounge and airy conservatory are perfect for relaxing, taking part in activities or just chatting over a cup of tea. There is a pretty patio and lovely garden for enjoying fresh air and nature – and our garden parties are always lots of fun in the Summer.
A Stannah™ stairlift gives easy access between the two floors of the house and much of our outside space is accessible by residents who use mobility aids or a wheelchair.
Nutrition
A healthy balanced diet plays a vital role in a number of age-related conditions, including cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline and can help to protect oral and dental health, along with bone and joint health in later life.
Our wonderful Bramley kitchen team create varied weekly menus with main meals cooked from scratch using fresh tasty produce, including herbs from our garden (lovingly looked after by our team and residents).
There is a strong emphasis on providing a wholesome variety of meals, along with delicious cakes, biscuits and treats made by our talented team.
Of course, we can cater for everyone, after all this is your home and the heart of the home is the kitchen! We are at your service for any special favourites and dietary requirements. Visitors are welcome to join us for meals too, or can just pop in to say hello and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of home-made cake.
Staff and Care
The staff at Bramley House believe in creating a relaxed, informal setting for the residents who wish to retain their independence yet require the highest standards of care and attention.
A nurse call system operates in each room, providing 24-hour emergency service. Our highly trained staff are on call 24 hours a day, most of whom have, or are, working towards a recognised NVQ qualification.
Bramley House Residential Home maintains a strong emphasis on training. All staff are required to undertake CRB and POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) checks prior to employment.
With personal included as part of our comprehensive service, we also welcome visitors who provide hairdressing and chiropody.
How much does it cost to live at Bramley House?

Of course, a favourite chair of chest of drawers is welcome, but no electrical items (unless PAT tested by our electrician). All pictures and personal items are encouraged.
